My
How I ended up here.

OK ... NetMan stands for Network Manager - or - If your imagination allows ... NetMan ... the Internet Super Hero ... Defender of "FREE exchange of information". OK ... that's a bit of a reach, but I used to run a BBS ... back in the day ... you know ... before the "internet". That was my motto and NetMan was my User Name on the BBS.

I wanted one since I first saw one in the showroom in 1994, however, I couldn't afford it at the time.
I moved to Illinois in November 1995 and bought a house ... still couldn't afford it.
When I saw the 1996 model and the interior changes ... I wanted it even more ... but still couldn't afford it.
Then in 1997 when I could afford it ... THEY CANCELED IT! I almost gave up. Then ...
I bought this Black 1996 Impala SS, used, in April 2000. It had 46K on the odometer and was completely stock.

What I love about this car is that it's low and wide. It has a sense of "stealth" to it and looks very unassuming.
It was ahead of it's time to sport 17" rims and low profile, wide Z rated P255/50ZR17 tires, back in the mid 90's,
giving the SS an aggressive stance. It truly is a 4 door ... with an attitude.

I started out by removing everything that restricted air flow in and exhaust flow out. Then a little tuning to
improve response.
